User centric, Human-centered, Inclusive Design.

Updated: Jun 23, 2020

Welcome to HI!

This is a newsletter/blog spot for those interested in user experience design and research. As the program director and professor for the user experience design master's degree program at Azusa Pacific University, this platform was created to document and share the amazing works that the program and students are producing in the name of design and research!

Come and have a sneak peak into the different projects, case studies, and discussions that our students explore and produce in this amazing program.

We are here for more than just the degree. We are here to always keep each other accountable in our education, learning, and creativity. So come on in and join the conversation :)

Most recently, I have been exploring the many terms, cultures, and communities design is forming. As an artist and designer, I have always been passionate about accessibility and inclusivity in education. Museum and arts in education has always been one way of embracing diversity in learning, and also a platform for me to find new ways to improve experiential learning. Take a look at the STEAM project that I launched with our STEAM with US initiative at Harvard >

With being said, I recently have been drawn to Microsoft's Inclusive Design > https://www.microsoft.com/design/inclusive/

Take a look at their guide in inclusive design.

Human-centered design, user-centric design, inclusive design. These terms and ideas around design are what we explore as a program and team at APU Master's in UX design program.
